Big Day

Lily just went pee in her potty for the very first time and just 5 minutes before, Ellyse announced to me that she peed her pants at the park. I guess you lose progress before you gain it.

Good Memory...

About a month ago, we went to REI and got a few things. We had to go back there to return something  last week. When we pulled up in front of the store, Ellyse proceeds to tell me that she thinks that she left one of her shoes in the store. She said that she left in the big tent not the little one. I asked her which shoe it was and it was the same one that I had noticed that we were missing. I call Bryan in the store and ask him to see if they have a Lost and Found.  He asks and the worker says "I think I know which one you are talking about" So he comes out with the lost shoe. I guess Ellyse has a pretty good memory.

Little Talker

For not even being 2 Lily talks like a expert. She repeats everything Ellyse says. She tells me when she's mad at me, when she loves me, and every thing else she wants to say. Her most recent phrase is " knock it off." When Ellyse does something that Lily doesn't approve of she tells her to knock it off. She loves to sing songs. Some of her favorites are Twinkle Twinkle, "Donald" Song (Old McDonald),  No one likes a frowny face, I am a Child of God. It is so cute to hear her sing.

My little Valentines

Valentines Day 2009

A day late but it doesn't mean I love them any less. We had lots of fun yesterday hanging out with Auntie Amber and Lanell. We wished daddy was in town but we know he is getting a little break from us.

Sweet Deal....

Bryan is really good at finding deals on everything. His most recent deal included a FREE night's stay at the Palms. When we were trying to figure out where we should go for dinner he found out that the Buffet at the Rio was having a 1/2 off for locals. We met up with some friends and had a blast. We ate WAY too much but we got a much need little getaway. It worked out so well because Bryan won't be here for Valentine's Day.

Thanks Honey for a GREAT deal!!!!

Recent Favorite Things

Going for Bike rides with Bryan and the girls in the evening
After owning one of these for 2 1/2 years I started using it.
For a snack, I really enjoy eating the new Pomegranate Blackberry Yogurt. YUM!
Then I sprinkle a little Bear Naked Granola on top of the Yogurt. YUM YUM YUM!!!

Maybe If I stick will all these healthier habits, I will actually feel good about myself this summer, and not mind getting out my swimsuits.

A New Week

I had a rough week last week. Lily woke up Tuesday with a cough and fever and it went down hill from there. You know when they have droopy eyes and all they want to do is have you hold them?!? That was Lily all week long. Ellyse got it also, so I had two little sick girls to take care of. I got so tired of being at home. I was starting to go kinda crazy.
When I woke up this morning I woke up to a whole new week. Lily is over the worst of her nasty cold/ear infection/cough. YAY. I got some lunch from Sonic and took the girls to the park to have a picnic. It was WONDERFUL to get out in the fresh air and enjoy the sunshine.
One thing I am very grateful for is that I have been healthy so far, so I have had all my energy to focus on the girls. Hopefully I will be able to squeeze through this without getting sick.

Our Stay in Utah

My mom flew into Vegas and drove up with the girls and I to Utah. Our first stop was Provo where we visited with Eric and Nakita and their new baby, Jared, Emily and their family and Amber. We stayed for a couple days and then headed to Ogden where we spent some time with Grandma. I want the girls to have as many memories as possible of their Great Grandma Gwen.  We then went to Bountiful and spent a couple days with Jenny, Steven and their family. I think the girls had a lot of fun playing with all their cousins. They were so good for me so it made the trip run very smoothly. I just love spending as much time as I can with family.
