Happy Birthday Robi

It's your Birthday in just a couple hours and I wanted to be one of the first people to wish you a Happy Birthday up in Heaven.
I wonder what you will do to celebrate your birthday up there. I am sure it will be something fun. I remember last year (It felt like yesterday) celebrating your birthday at the cabin. So many memories made that weekend.
You can bet you will be remembered by everyone tomorrow on your special day. Love and miss you so much!!

My Sweet Lily

In the last couple days Lily has said a couple things that has made me a proud Momma.

Yesterday, as we were driving the short distance to church, I hear Lily tell Ellyse "Ellyse you make my heart happy" I had to have her repeat it about 3 times cause I thought it was the cutest thing. She did confess she learned it from Ni Hao Ki-Lan but I still thought it was sweet of her. It definitely made my morning a lot more cheerful.

Today, Mia was screaming as I was trying to get a bottle ready for her and when I finally sat down to feed her all was quiet really quickly. I hear Lily say "You make a really good Mom." All I could say was thanks. I love to hear thoughtful things come out of the mouth of 3 year olds. Too bad it is on a rare occasion.

As I am writing this she told me she is making Daddy a sign for when he gets home that says "You are the best in my whole life" She cracks me up.

Punishment

Yesterday, when it came time for Kindergarten, Ellyse did not want to go. I could not talk her into going no matter what I said or did.
So I told her that she would have to sit on the chair for the next 2 1/2 hours. She said she would and so that's what she did. I couldn't believe she stayed there without too much complaining. During the last 1/2 hour, she told me she thought sitting there was boring and she would go to kindergarten next time.
Maybe I'm a mean Mom but I had to get the point across.
The picture was taken at the end of the time and she was ready to go and play.

Chocolate

....and we were wondering why Mia was so quiet in the back seat. (I swear I did NOT give her any chocolate)

Standing up

Mia started to pull herself to things several weeks ago. For how little she is(for her 6 month check up she weighed a whopping 13 lbs 12 oz) I think she does pretty good for herself. She still wakes up a couple times a night, she wants to be held for the most part of the day and she just got her first tooth. She eats good. I started making her own baby food which I have enjoyed and she likes eating most everything I feed her.

Growing up

Ellyse started Kindergarten 2 weeks ago. She has a hard time going but when I pick her up she always says tells me she had a fun day. So I guess that's normal. She goes to the afternoon class so she gets anxious all morning long. It gets pretty quiet around here when there's not 2 girls to fight together. So I think its good for everyone.

Change

About 4 weeks ago we got a exchange student from Brazil. We are still trying to adjust to having someone outside of our family stay with us but we are hoping she warms up to us and becomes a little more outgoing.
