Bringing life up to date.

I really haven't been taking any pictures lately, which means I haven't been posting anything. I have had some fun lately. We celebrated Bryan's 30th Birthday on the 19th. We wanted to have a BBQ and swim but the weather wasn't swimming weather so we had homemade clucketo's and I made a chocolate layered strawberry balsamic cake. I think everything turned out great.
As we get older each year, I realize that if I don't enjoy each day I am going to be old, full of regrets and wondering what I did with my life. I am trying to appreciate all the time I can spend with the girls.

A week and a 1/2 ago, I went with Nancy and Abby to LA for Abby's dance competition. We had lots of fun for a short weekend. We didn't get there til 2 am on Saturday but we got to go to the beach in between her dances, went to see Something Borrowed, ate at CPK. The next day before we headed home we sat on the beach again, had lunch in Beverly Hills and got some Sprinkles cupcakes. I really loved the salty carmel one.....so good! It was nice of Bryan to watch the girls so I could go. They had lots of fun together which didn't surprise me.

The weather in Vegas has been bi-polar just like every where else. One day we are swimming, the next walking around with jackets. I really haven't minded since I know before long it will be hot.

We are working on Mia just taking 1 nap. Once she learns to take a longer nap, we will be smooth sailing. Until then, we get a cranky afternoon baby. Mia doesn 't talk like the girls did at her age. She just nods her head if she wants something or shakes it if she doesn't. She now sleeps through the night. I didn't think it would ever come. Ellyse is almost done with Kindergarten. She enjoys going a whole lot more than when school started. I am super excited for summer....I will forever appreciate and look forward to summers from now on. Lily is finishing up Joy school tomorrow. I am so glad I have one more year of her at home with me. I really don't want to see her go to kindergarten. She is my little buddy!

Bipolar is a great way to describe it!

I feel the same way (about getting older) and about having Claire at home with me another year.

That chocolate cake looks to-die-for! :)
